An Arlington Family

Paula and her family have made Arlington their home for more than 40 years.  Paula’s children, Lorie and Christopher, were raised on Huntington Street just south of the GM Assembly Plant in a solidly working class neighborhood where children played outside and attended great public schools. Paula was active in the Arlington Parent Teachers Association for eighteen years while her children attended AISD schools.  Paula also served as room mother at Roark Elementary, and as area coordinator for Campfire Girls and troop leader for Blue Birds.

Today, four generations of Paula’s family call Arlington home. Paula’s husband, Grey Pierson, is a local attorney with a law office and title company in downtown Arlington.  Her daughter, Lorie White, and her son, Chris Hightower, have built their families in Arlington. Lorie received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Texas in Arlington where she now works in the Department of Social Work.  Chris, who received his master’s degree from the University of Georgia, followed in his mom’s footsteps by building a real estate business in Arlington and Grand Prairie. Paula’s grandchildren Kendall and Shaun attend the same public schools that her children attended growing up in Arlington.  True to family tradition, both grandchildren are already actively involved in our community.
